Keema Curry

  • 2tbsp lacto-free butter
  • 3tbsp oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2tsp paprika
  • 1/2tsp ground tumeric
  • 1/2tsp chilli powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4tsp garlic powder
  • 400g beef mince
  • 4tsbp tomato puree
  • 1/2 a cup of frozen peas
  • splash of hot water
  • Freshly chopped coriander and chillies, to serve

Heat the oil and butter in a large pan. Add the onion and garlic, and sweat for 5 minutes. Add the spices and seasoning, and stir well. Cook for a few more minutes.

Add the beef, and cook until ‘dry’. Add the puree and a splash of water, cover with a lid, and simmer for around 10-15 minutes. Add the peas, cover again, and cook for another 5 minutes.

Serve garnished with fresh coriander and chillies.
