Pre-Christmas Yorkshire Practice!

I’ve gotta practice them! I can’t eat Aunt Bessie’s this year, ’cause dairy. So I’ve gotta nail Yorkshires at Christmas this year. This shit is on me. So here’s a practice run, and they weren’t too bad – see bonus photo below. However. I ran out of milk, ’cause tea addiction. So these were made with UHT, long-life milk. They did taste great. Puffed nicely in the oven, more like giant profiteroles than Yorkshires. But they soon deflated and were not crispy at all. Rather soggy really, like I’d covered them with Clingfilm to keep warm.

Not too disappointed, they were damn good served along side roast potatoes and super-tasty Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference pork and onion marmalade sausage rolls. But not quite Christmas perfect yet…
